Tours and Tasting

We at Hendry look forward to welcoming you to the Napa Valley in this, our 80th year of farming! Temperatures are mild and skies are blue.  The vineyards are finally beginning to turn green with sprouting mustard, clover and marigold. It's a quiet and beautiful time to see the Napa Valley, and warm up with a glass of wine or two!

Our scheduled appointment times are: 10:00 am Seminar Tour & Tasting, 11:00 am Tasting and 2:00 pm Tour & Tasting. (See complete details below.) All tours and tastings are by appointment only. Future dates are available up to one year in advance. Sorry, no one under 21, no babies or children. No groups larger than eight, please.

PLEASE NOTE:

All tours and tastings are by prior appointment only, seven days a week. All visitors must be 21 or over; we are not permitted to have minors, including babies, in the tasting room or on tours. Hendry is not able to accommodate groups larger than 8.

If you arrive 15 or more minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged for the missed appointment. Late parties may not be able to join appointments already in progress.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations or changes to party number must be received and confirmed no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time to avoid charges. Thank you!


10 AM: Seminar Tour (3 hours)

A unique educational experience in the Napa Valley. Owner George Hendry –farmer, winemaker, physicist–  leads an in-depth educational tour and tasting. Information includes property history, farming philosophy and the science and economics of grape growing and winemaking. Tour is followed by an intensive, guided tasting seminar consisting of a minimum of 7 current release wines. A great educational foundation for anyone who really wants to learn about wine and winemaking. Novices and experts alike will gain insight from this unique educational experience. Ideal for inquisitive wine fans, wine geeks, engineers, physicians and scientists of all kinds. Fee waived with equivalent purchase.


11 AM: TASTING (NO TOUR- 1-1.5 hours)

A seated, educational tasting of a minimum of 6 wines led by one of our knowledgeable team members. Tasting fee waived with equivalent wine purchase. (During harvest season, this 1-1.5 hour tasting may be made available at 2 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.)


 2 PM: AFTERNOON TOUR AND TASTING (2-2.5 hours)

An overview of property history, tour of the vineyard, discussion of grape growing and winemaking and tour of the winery. Get to know your grape varieties during our educational tasting of a minimum of 6 wines following the tour, led by one of our knowledgeable team members. Fee waived with equivalent purchase.
