First Course
Lumb Crab and Shrimp with artichoke, tomato, chorizo in a garlic white wine sauce
Hendry Unoaked Chardonnay 2016; A very balanced, light-to-med-bodied white wine, soft on the palate, with flavors of green and Fuji apples and lemon pie. Lingering lemony acidity in the finish.
Second Course
Salmon over string beans with blackberry Hoisin sauce
Hendry Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2015; Primary aromas of baked apple and pear juxtaposed with the smoky, toasty aromas of the moderate oak. Silky on the palate, with a balanced, even impression and green apple-like acidity. Creamy, biscuity finish from the extended lees contact.
Third Course
Lamb Chops with roasted carrots, shallots topped with a Barolo wine reduction
Hendry Zinfandel Block 7 & 22 2015; Pretty ruby color. Soft, spicy aromas of cherry syrup, bay leaf, sweet tobacco and spice. Light to medium bodied, with fairly subdued tannins. Flavors of red fruit and jam, herbs, mint and baking chocolate.
Fourth Course
Filet Mignon served with potato pancake topped with bacon onion marmalade
Hendry Meritage 2014; Deep, dense, purple color, due to the inclusion of 27% Malbec and 20% Petit Verdot. Aromatically, it shows light spice and dark, honeyed fruit, along with herbal, meaty, smoky and savory elements. Silky and bright on the lively palate, increasing in palate depth with air. Plummy, berry fruit with bittersweet plum skin on the finish. Subtle, stealthy tannins.
Hendry Cabernet Sauvignon 2014; Saturated, dense, ruby color. Initial aromas of smoke, spice and dark, mouthwatering blackcurrant fruit. Flavors include dark bittersweet chocolate, deep, dark berry and spice. Sweet oak and herbal notes of bay or eucalyptus emerge with air, adding to the interest and complexity.
Fifth Course
Dessert/Coffee
