The 2009 Hendry Cabernet Sauvignon flows across the palate with gorgeous depth and richness.  Black currants, flowers, violets, spice and earth are some of the many notes that ring out in this medium-bodied yet fleshy, textured wine.  The 2009 impresses for its depth, polish and pure refinement. I loved it. Anticipated maturity, 2014-2029.

The 2008 Hendry Cabernet Sauvignon is another rich, extroverted wine.  Black plums, blackberries, tar and smoke are some of the notes that flow from this bold, deeply flavored Cabernet Sauvignon.  Grilled herbs and licorice develop in the glass, adding further complexity.  I especially like the plushness and depth of the finish.  Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.

Hendry 2007 Napa Valley Hendry Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is very strong in blackberries, black currants and cedar.  It’s also quite tannic.  Clearly a rich, well-grown wine, but marked by immaturity , with unintegrated sweet fruit and oak flavors.  Needs a good six years to start to knit together.
